If you are a freelancer and have just landed in Barcelona to spend a couple months (or even more, who knows), you might be doing some research on which are the best coffee shops to work in Barcelona. We already did that investigation some time ago, and here are our conclusions. We hope you find it helpful ;-)
A friendly coffee shop chain in Barcelona: Sandwichez
Definitely my favourite one. Specially because it reminds me of the coffee shops in the United States, where I used to spend a lot of time with my friends from the University or colleagues. But I have other big reasons to love this chain of coffee shops as well: they make delicious juices (go for the Chez Juice if you ever visit a Sandwhichez) and the staff is always really really nice. The atmosphere they got to create is really comfy, making it an ideal place to work (try to find the ones that are less crowded). Without any doubt, one of the best cafes to work in Barcelona.

A little and cute coffee shop chain in Barcelona: Federal Café
It is usually pretty crowded at breakfast or lunch time, but its large wood tables and delicious food make it also one of the best coffee shops to work. Also, it is located in one of the coolest neighborhoods: Sant Antoni.

Coffee shops in a library
If you love coffee and books, you will probably love the atmosphere of these two places, which have both elements:
Laie
I love to go to the one located in Pau Claris street. On the first floor there is the library, and then on the second floor you will meet the restaurant/bar. If you avoid the rush hour at lunch time, this place is definitely one of the best cafes to work in Barcelona while having breakfast (and they also have wifi!).

La Central
There are diverse “La Central” libraries distributed in Barcelona, but this is the one we recommend. One of the best coffee shops in Barcelona to work, especially if you are looking for a relaxed and silent atmosphere.

A coffee shop you probably know: Starbucks
A classic. Among the best coffee shops to work in Barcelona, Starbucks also makes it on the list, being the most international among the options. You will find lots of them distributed in the center of the city.
